Hello, Friend...

Yeah, so, there's a LOT of stuff I want to cram into the next few months, before issue #18...and a few new things I'd like to try. For example--the story surrounding The Ill #0 will be told in three parts, and not in consecutive order. Next issue, #15 (featuring Siren, Queen Prexa and a few other guests) will basically be 'Part 2' of that 3-part arc, while The Ill #0 (soon) will be part one...the third and final part of the story is The Ill #24, a solo story featuring Director Skarrd of Ark-Tech. And the entire point of this little 3-parter tucked within the main storyline?

I've always been fascinated with 'world-building', with creating universes. The Marvel Universe is one of the richest, most colorful places ever conceived, and I hold a special place in my heart for the DCU. I love the world Alan Moore has pulled together with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, I marvel at the way Neil Gaiman effortlessly made Morpheus a part of the DCU (the first arc of the series is pure genius). Long story short, creating universes is fun, and they should be carefully constructed, intricately woven together. This one--Universe Designate-11--is, in ways you might not have realized yet. A world like theirs is a Special world, just as a world with a Spongebob Squarepants or a Jason Bourne would be. Next issue is the 'second' part of the story of this world...the air they breathe, the thoughts they think, the lives they lead.

Stay tuned, more fun stuff coming up, if you enjoy what you've been reading so far. Oneman! the return of folks like Mindboggke and Mike From Seattle!  A scene I'm debating writing that may or may not be appropriate for a comic book! Thanks for reading, it's fun writing this stuff!
